Over the course of the week, the Russians attacked Ukraine with more than 1,700 strike drones, 1,380 guided aerial bombs, and 69 missiles of various types, targeting energy facilities, critical infrastructure, and residential buildings.
This was reported by President Volodymyr Zelensky on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
“Russia’s main targets right now are our energy sector, critical infrastructure, and residential buildings. This week alone, the Russians have launched more than 1,700 attack drones, over 1,380 guided aerial bombs, and 69 missiles of various types,” the post says.
Zelensky emphasized that every major Russian strike could be devastating. Therefore, Ukraine needs missiles for its air defense systems, which it continues to work on together with the United States and Europe.
Today in Vilnius, the Ukrainian president will meet with the presidents of Lithuania and Poland. According to him, they will discuss, among other things, strengthening Ukraine.
“Everyone must clearly understand the threat coming from Russia, and it is our nations who understand this best. I thank everyone who is helping us stand strong,” the president added.
As reported, Volodymyr Zelensky and the First Lady arrived in the Lithuanian capital, where events will mark the 163rd anniversary of the January Uprising in Vilnius.
It is expected that during the visit, a trilateral meeting will take place between Volodymyr Zelensky, Polish President Karol Nawrocki, and Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda.
