Russians attacked White Angels evacuation vehicle with drone in Sumy region
Russian troops carried out a drone attack on an evacuation vehicle in the Sumy region, resulting in injuries to police officers.
This was reported on Telegram by the head of the Sumy Regional State Administration, Oleh Hryhorov, according to Ukrinform.
"During the evacuation of people from the border area of the Shostka district, an enemy drone attacked a vehicle belonging to the White Angel special police unit. The vehicle suffered significant damage. It was precisely because of the vehicle's armour plating that the people being evacuated were not injured, although they did experience severe stress. Police officers with minor injuries are currently undergoing examination," he wrote.
It is noted that thanks to the professional actions and coordination of the “White Angels,” the evacuation was completed, and people were taken to a safer place.
The Sumy region police added that a Russian drone targeted an armored police vehicle. The incident occurred a few kilometers from the Russian border.
As reported, the White Angels police unit evacuated an elderly couple from the village of Velykopysarivka in the Sumy region, which is in a zone of constant threat of shelling.
