In Sumy region, paratroopers thwart Russian attempts to create bridgehead for offensive on Khotin — troops

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna sector, the Russian Armed Forces are trying to create a bridgehead for further offensive actions in the direction of the village of Khotin, which poses a threat to the advance towards the city of Sumy.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported on Telegram by the 78th Separate Air Assault Regiment of the 7th Rapid Response Corps of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

All such attempts are detected promptly and thwarted.

Generally, the enemy periodically conducts assault operations and intensifies the activity of unmanned systems in specific areas. During infantry attacks, the enemy typically avoids frontal assaults and attempts to flank the enemy.

Units of the 78th Separate Air Assault Regiment, part of the 7th Rapid Response Corps of the Air Assault Forces, are being targeted by formations of the 810th Separate Naval Infantry Regiment and the 9th Separate Assault Motorized Rifle Regiment of Russia.

“Our active defense and constant reconnaissance allow us to keep the situation under complete control,” Ukrainian soldiers assured.
