Defense forces conduct search and strike operations in Myrnohrad due to Russian infiltration attempts
Ukrainian defense forces are conducting search and strike operations in Myrnohrad, Donetsk region, to prevent the advance of Russian troops, who have increased their efforts to infiltrate the central part of the city.
According to Ukrinform, the “East” military group reported this on Facebook.
Defense Forces units in the Eastern Operational Command's area of responsibility are holding back the Russian offensive and have repelled 55 assaults since the beginning of the day.
Ukrainian units continue to be active in the Pokrovsk-Myrnohrad agglomeration.
In the Pokrovsk direction, since the beginning of the day, Russian troops have made 25 attempts to dislodge Ukrainian defenders from their positions in the areas of the settlements of Nykanorivka, Rodynske, Sukhetske, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Filiia, and in the direction of Ivanivka and Novopavlivka. Defense forces are holding back the offensive and have already repelled 21 attacks.
The military emphasized that they continue to control the northern part of Pokrovsk. All movements are detected in a timely manner, and the enemy is being fired upon.
The situation in Myrnohrad remains difficult. The Russians continue to build up their forces in the south and northeast outskirts.
The enemy has increased its efforts to infiltrate the central part of the city.
To prevent the further advance of Russian troops, the Defense Forces are continuing search and strike operations in Myrnohrad and on the approaches to the city.
As reported by Ukrinform, there have been 68 combat clashes between the Ukrainian Defense Forces and Russian troops since the beginning of the day. The invaders continue to focus most of their efforts on the Pokrovsk direction.
