Russians attack Novhorod-Siverskyi in Chernihiv region with drone, causing damage

Late in the evening of January 2, Russian forces attacked the city of Novhorod-Siverskyi in Chernihiv region with a Geran UAV, damaging an apartment building.

The head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, Viacheslav Chaus, stated this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"A Geran struck Novhorod-Siverskyi late last night. An apartment building was damaged, outbuildings were also damaged, and several cars were destroyed. Firefighters were working at the impact site," Chaus wrote.

According to him, as a result of a UAV attack, a cowshed was damaged at one of the farms in the Kozelets community, and cattle were injured.

Overall, nine shelling incidents were recorded in the region over the past day, with border areas coming under attack.

As reported earlier, on New Year's night Russian forces struck a residential area of the city of Novhorod-Siverskyi in Chernihiv region with a drone.
