Russian shelling damages critical infrastructure and medical facility in Khmelnytskyi region
Critical infrastructure, a medical facility, and residential buildings were shelled by Russia in the Khmelnytskyi region.
This was reported by the Khmelnytskyi Regional Prosecutor's Office, according to Ukrinform.
"On the morning of December 23, unidentified servicemen of the Russian Federation armed forces launched a combined strike on the territory of Khmelnytskyi region. The enemy used missiles and UAVs. In the city of Shepetivka, a 72-year-old man was killed by falling missile debris in his own yard. Windows in apartment buildings and one of the buildings of a medical facility were also damaged in the city," the statement said.
In addition, critical infrastructure facilities were damaged as a result of the drone attack in the city of Khmelnytskyi and the Shepetivka district. Private houses were also damaged in the Khmelnytskyi district.
According to Khmelnytskyoblenergo JSC, the rocket and drone attack caused significant damage to power grids in the region. Most users are without electricity. As of 11:00 a.m., power had been restored to 37,590 customers.
As reported by Ukrinform, Russian shelling in the Khmelnytskyi region resulted in one death and power outages.
