War update: 163 clashes on frontline over past day, hottest fighting in Pokrovsk, Kostiantynivka sectors
On April 9, a total of 163 combat clashes took place between Ukraine’s Defense Forces and Russian troops. The enemy exerted the most pressure in the Pokrovsk and Kostiantynivka sectors, while also showing increased activity in the Huliaipole sector.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, publishing operational information as of 08:00 on Friday, April 10, according to Ukrinform.
Yesterday, Russian forces carried out one missile strike and 70 airstrikes, including the use of 210 guided aerial bombs. The invaders also deployed 10,340 kamikaze drones and shelled populated areas and Ukrainian defense positions 3,580 times, including 56 times using multiple launch rocket systems.
Enemy aircraft struck areas near Oleksandrivka and Pokrovske in the Dnipropetrovsk region, Vozdvyzhivka, Tsvitkove, Viktorivka, Zelena Dibrova, Krynivka, Samiilivka, Barvinivka, Shyroke, Liubytske, and Balabyne in the Zaporizhzhia region, as well as Radisne in the Kherson region.
Over the past day, Ukrainian aviation struck seven clusters of Russian personnel and equipment.
In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, Russian forces dropped six guided aerial bombs and carried out 83 shelling attacks on Ukrainian positions and settlements, including five using MLRS.
In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, Russian invaders attempted six times to break through Ukrainian defensive lines near Vovchansk, Vovchanski Khutory, Prylipka, Starytsia, and toward Okhrimivka.
In the Kupiansk sector, the enemy launched nine attacks near Pishchane, Petropavlivka, and Novoosynove, as well as toward Kivsharivka and Kupiansk.
In the Lyman sector, Russian forces attempted to penetrate Ukrainian defenses, carrying out six attacks toward Lyman, Dibrova, Novomykhailivka, and Tverdokhlibove.
In the Sloviansk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled three Russian attempts to advance toward Rai-Oleksandrivka, Yampil, and Ozerne.
In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian troops launched two attacks near Nykyforivka.
In the Kostiantynivka sector, Russian forces carried out 28 attacks near Stepanivka, Pleshchiivka, Rusyn Yar, and Ivanopillia, as well as toward Illinivka, Sofiivka, Kostiantynivka, and Novopavlivka.
In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 33 enemy assault actions near Ivanivka, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Shevchenko, Hryshyne, Pokrovsk, Udachne, Novomykolaivka, Novopavlivka, Molodetske, Myrne, Kotlyne, Novopidhorodnie, and Muravka.
In the Oleksandrivka sector, Russian forces attacked eight times near Oleksandrohrad, Vorone, and Zlahoda, as well as toward Myrne and Andriivka-Klevtsove.
In the Huliaipole sector, the enemy carried out 18 attacks near Zaliznychne, Huliaipole, Varvarivka, Hirke, Huliaipilske, Staroukrainka, and Dobropillia.
In the Orikhiv sector, no assault actions were recorded yesterday.
In the Prydniprovske sector, Russian troops attacked three times near the Antonivskyi Bridge.
No signs of Russian offensive group formation were detected in the Volyn and Polissia sectors.
As reported by Ukrinform, over the past day Ukrainian Defense Forces neutralized 1,130 Russian troops, 2,232 drones, and more than 200 units of enemy equipment and weapons.
