CinC Syrskyi discusses AFU weapons needs with British delegation
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine General Oleksandr Syrskyi discussed with a British delegation led by Chief of the Defence Staff Air Chief Marshal Richard Knighton the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for weapons for land, air, and sea components.
According to Ukrinform, this was reported on the Commander-in-Chief's Facebook page.
Syrskyi held a working meeting with the British delegation led by Knighton.
He gave his British colleagues a detailed update on the operational situation at the front. He paid special attention to the measures being taken by the Armed Forces of Ukraine to disrupt the Russian Armed Forces' autumn-winter campaign.
According to the general, “despite significant pressure from the enemy in certain areas of the front, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are successfully counterattacking and inflicting significant losses on Russian troops in terms of manpower and equipment.”
“We discussed separately the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in particular, the means of destruction for the land, air, and sea components of the Defense Forces of Ukraine,” Syrskyi noted.
He thanked the Chief Marshal of Aviation, the government, and the people of the United Kingdom for their consistent political support of Ukraine and powerful military assistance to the Defense Forces.
“The visit of our British partners has once again confirmed the effectiveness of our military cooperation and strategic partnership,” the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine emphasized.
As reported by Ukrinform, Deputy Head of the Office of the President Pavlo Palisa and representatives of the military delegations of France and Great Britain, led by the chiefs of staff, discussed security guarantees for Ukraine, in particular the possible presence of an international contingent.
