Crew of Ukrainian Mi-24 helicopter dies while performing combat mission

The crew of a Ukrainian Mi-24 helicopter died on December 17 while performing a combat mission.

This was reported on Facebook by the 12th Separate Army Aviation Brigade named after Corporal General Viktor Pavlenko, according to Ukrinform.

“The crew of the Mi-24 helicopter was killed while performing a combat mission. This is an irreparable loss for aviation, for the country, and for the families who were waiting for their loved ones at home,” the statement said.

The brigade is asking all concerned citizens to join in supporting the families of the deceased.

The fundraiser is open to help four families.

As reported by Ukrinform, during a combat mission on a Su-27 aircraft, the senior navigator of the 39th Tactical Aviation Brigade, Lieutenant Colonel Yevhenii Ivanov, was killed.
