Over 160 apartments damaged in Zaporizhzhia as glide bomb passed through high-rise building
In Zaporizhzhia, 163 apartments were damaged in an apartment building that was hit by a Russian guided aerial bomb during the daytime attack. There is a risk of collapse.
Secretary of the Zaporizhzhia City Council Rehina Kharchenko announced this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
"According to the latest data, 163 apartments were damaged as a result of today's attack," she wrote.
Speaking on television, Kharchenko said there was a risk of collapse because the load-bearing structures of one of the apartments had been significantly damaged.
"The hit was on the upper floors, and there is a danger to residents on the lower floors. We are addressing the issue of relocating these people. More than a hundred municipal workers are currently working at the site," she said.
Kharchenko clarified that there were no rubble piles in the building because, as specialists explained to her, the guided aerial bomb passed straight through it.
