Russia reports attack by over 100 drones, fuel depots hit in Tambov, Voronezh regions

During the night of December 3, Russia’s Ministry of Defense reported that 102 drones were “intercepted and destroyed” during attacks on several Russian regions. Regional authorities in Russia confirmed a strike on a fuel depot in Tambov region as well as damage to fuel tanks in Voronezh region.

This was reported by the BBC, according to Ukrinform.

It is noted that the highest number of drones were reportedly shot down over Belgorod region — 26, followed by 22 over Bryansk region, 21 over Kursk region, 16 over Rostov region, seven over Astrakhan region, six over Saratov region, and four over Voronezh region.

The attack on a fuel depot in Tambov region was reported by the governor, Yevgeny Pervyshov. The fall of drone debris caused a fire at the depot.

According to the BBC, drone debris also damaged fuel tanks in Voronezh region.

Voronezh governor Alexandr Gusev said the region was attacked by drones during the night. Four drones were allegedly shot down, and debris from one of them damaged several fuel tanks when it fell.

As reported by Ukrinform, a group of drones attacked an oil depot in the Russian city of Livny, Oryol region, during the night of December 2.
