Ukraine, Czechia discuss supply of artillery shells
Ukraine's Deputy Defense Minister Sergiy Boyev held a meeting with Ales Vytecka, Director of the Czech Intergovernmental Defense Cooperation Agency, to discuss the supply of artillery ammunition.
The Ukrainian Defense Ministry said this in a statement seen by Ukrinform.
The parties focused on the implementation of the ammunition initiative for Ukraine. The delegations discussed delivery timelines and the available stock of munitions for the highest-priority categories.
"Our priority is to obtain extended-range ammunition that gives Ukrainian soldiers an advantage on the battlefield. Czechia plays an exceptionally important role in this initiative, which ensures a stable supply of shells for the Defense Forces," Boyev said.
He also thanked Czechia for its consistent support in providing Ukraine with artillery munitions.
For its part, the Czech delegation briefed Ukraine on the details of the security assistance and the status of ammunition contracting.
