Massive Russian attack on Kyiv: injury toll rises to 25, one killed

The number of people injured as a result of the massive Russian attack on Kyiv has risen to 25.

Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko stated this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"Twenty-five people were injured in the capital as a result of the enemy's massive attack. Among them is a 10-year-old child. Medics hospitalized nine people, including a pregnant woman. Others received assistance on site," he said.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine reported the following:

Podilskyi district: A high-rise building was hit. Thirteen people were rescued.

Dniprovskyi district: Fires in apartments in a five-story building were extinguished. Seventeen people were rescued. At another address, a fire was extinguished and partial destruction of the building was recorded.

Darnytskyi district: A fire on the grounds of a school was extinguished.

Desnianskyi district: A high-rise building caught fire. The fire was contained. Nine people were rescued and 50 evacuated. One person was killed. Fourteen people were rescued, including one child, and one person was freed from under the rubble.

Solomianskyi district: The roof and a residential building caught fire. Twenty people were rescued.

Sviatoshynskyi district: A residential building was hit. A fire in a 22-story residential building was extinguished.

Holosiivskyi district: Debris fell onto the grounds of a hospital. At another address, a fire in a building was extinguished.

Shevchenkivskyi district: A fire in an open area was extinguished.

Obolonskyi district: A 9-story residential building was hit, causing apartment fires. One person was rescued and the fire was extinguished.

As Ukrinform reported, Russia launched a massive attack on Kyiv and the region with missiles and drones. Earlier, it was stated that one person had been killed and the number of injured had risen to 24.
