Prosecutor General calls talks about Russian spirituality lies following recent attack on Odesa

Ukrainian Prosecutor General Andrii Kostin has expressed confidence that those involved in missile strikes on the city of Odesa will be identified and punished.

The relevant statement was made by Ukrainian Prosecutor General Andrii Kostin on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Odesa. At least one person was killed. Many people were injured. Russia once again has proved that its main goal is to kill Ukrainian civilians. And talks about Russian spirituality are lies. They fired missiles at the historic center – the monument protected by UNESCO. The city’s largest Orthodox church was destroyed,” Kostin wrote.

In his words, the only traditions that Russia really honors and continues are the traditions of cannibalistic totalitarian regimes.

“This church used to be destroyed – in 1936. Independent Ukraine rebuilt it,” Kostin added.

The Prosecutor General assured Odesa residents that those involved in the criminal attacks would be brought to justice.

“And we will restore the church and monuments. It was so in the past, and we dealt with it,” Kostin stressed.

A reminder that, on the night of July 23, 2023, Russian troops launched a massive attack on the city of Odesa and the Odesa region. One person was reported killed and 22 injured, including four children.
