Zelensky awards 121 Ukrainian defenders posthumously

President Volodymyr Zelensky has posthumously awarded 121 Ukrainian servicemen with state orders.

The relevant decree No. 310/2023 was published on the President's website, according to Ukrinform.

The document states that the awards were given "for personal courage in the defense of state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, selfless performance of military duty".

The defenders were posthumously awarded the orders of Bohdan Khmelnytsky and For Courage.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, on 25 May, Zelensky took part in events on the occasion of the Day of the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine, where he presented awards to the communications officers.
