General Staff updates information about nighttime attack: Ukrainian defenders downed 25 missiles

Overnight Tuesday, Russia launched another massive missile attack on the civilian and critical infrastructure of Ukraine. Ukrainian defenders destroyed all 25 missiles launched by the enemy.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine clarified the information about the missile attack in its evening update on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

"The Russian aggressor cynically continues to use terror tactics... According to the updated information, the enemy used 6 Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles, 9 Kalibr cruise missiles and 10 land-based missiles (S-400, Iskander-M) to launch missile strikes, all of which were destroyed by Ukrainian defenders," the report says.

The General Staff added that the invaders fired two more S-300 missiles at the civilian infrastructure of Kostiantynivka, Donetsk region. In particular, as a result of Russia’s shelling of Dvorichna, Vovchansk and Tyshchenkivka, Kharkiv region, there are dead and wounded civilians. Residential private houses, a hospital and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed.

"Throughout the day, the aggressor launched 27 missile attacks and 37 airstrikes, carried out about 20 attacks using multiple launch rocket systems on the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas," the General Staff informed.

As reported, the Russian army is concentrating its main efforts in the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Maryinka sectors, the Defense Forces of Ukraine repelled numerous enemy attacks in the Maryinka area.
