Zelensky says peace with Russia possible only after Ukraine's victory on battlefield

Ukraine seeks peace, but it can only be achieved by defeating Russia on the battlefield.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky told this to journalists during his visit to the village of Yahidne in the Chernihiv region on Monday, April 3, to mark the one-year anniversary of the liberation of the village from Russian invaders, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"We want peace, but how can we achieve peace with Russia? Only through victory on the battlefield in our country, on our land, in order to stop Russia. Otherwise, after Ukraine, it [Russia] will move to Europe, and you can see [here] the result [of Russian aggression]," Zelensky said.

He thanked all partners for their support that will help save the lives of Ukrainians.
