Russian military strikes energy facility in Chernihiv region

Russian troops attacked an energy facility in the Nizhyn district of Chernihiv region.

According to Ukrinform, Chernihivoblenergo JSC reported this on Telegram.

“As a result of the enemy attack, a critical energy facility in the Nizhyn district has been damaged. Over 5,000 customers in the same district are without power,” the statement reads.

As noted by the regional power company, energy workers will begin emergency repair work as soon as the security situation allows.

As reported by Ukrinform, as of the morning of April 15, consumers in five regions were without power as a result of Russian attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.
