Russia drops night assault plan amid mounting losses near Bakhmut – Ukraine specops forces

Amid growing losses on the Bakhmut axis, the Russian forces gave up a plan to launch an assault in the area overnight Thursday.

That’s according to the Ukrainian Special Operations Forces Command, Ukrinform reports.

"In the direction of Bakhmut, the enemy is once again throwing piles of bodies at our defense positions. Ukraine’s specops troops eliminated four occupiers, wounding another three. The enemy suffered losses and gave up the assault attempt for that night," the report reads.

At the same time, the intercepted communications confirmed the results of the special forces' performance.

As reported earlier, on March 15, Ukraine’s defenders downed a Russian Su-25 fighter jet and 13 unmanned aerial vehicles.
