Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has said that the Energy Community will help Ukraine rebuild its energy infrastructure.

Shmyhal said this in a post on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"The Energy Community, which includes most European countries, will help Ukraine rebuild the energy sector. A respective memorandum was signed today at a meeting with the delegation of the Energy Community Secretariat headed by Artur Lorkowski," Shmyhal said.

According to him, the issue concerns support for priority projects on the construction and reconstruction of Ukraine's energy infrastructure, as well as support for the restoration of alternative energy facilities. In addition, the memorandum envisages cooperation in preparing lawsuits against Russia to collect compensation for damage done to the country's energy infrastructure.

"During the meeting, we also discussed steps to further synchronize the energy systems of Ukraine and the EU and increase the capacity to export and import electricity. Thank you for your support and solidarity. Together we will restore and transform Ukraine into a modern European state," Shmyhal said.
