Two men killed in mine explosion in Kherson region

Two men have been killed in a mine explosion in the Kherson region.

Yaroslav Yanushevych, the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, said this in a post on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"Near Velyka Oleksandrivka, people hit a mine left by the Russian occupiers," the post read.

It added that two men, aged 53 and 35, were checking their fields when they hit an enemy mine. The men died of their injuries at the scene.

Since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, bomb disposal experts have neutralized more than 313,000 explosive items.
