Ministry of Digital Transformation shares details about use of digital technologies on battlefield
Acting Minister of Digital Transformation Oleksandr Bornyakov said Ukrainian troops are effectively using digital technologies on the battlefield against Russia, despite Russia's advantage in manpower, tanks, and ammunition.
He said this in an interview with NHK, according to Ukrinform.
As an example, he cited drones that transmit information about Russian troops and weapons, as well as requests for additional resources.
According to him, drones can detect military positions, meaning that the "fog of war" no longer exists.
Bornyakov noted that UAVs monitor enemy front lines and can even determine the exact number of tanks, while also helping strike oil industry facilities that serve as a major source of Russia's revenue.
The official also added that artificial intelligence is playing an increasingly important role in the war and, in his words, has moved "from the operational level to the strategic level of command."
As Ukrinform previously reported, the United Kingdom will finance the creation of an artificial intelligence center under Ukraine's Ministry of Defense that will focus on implementing AI technologies on the battlefield.
