Residential buildings damaged as Russians shell Kharkiv region’s Kupiansk and Vovchansk

In Kharkiv region on January 6, Russian forces shelled the cities of Kupiansk and Vovchansk, as well as the village of Dvorichna, damaging residential buildings and farm buildings.

Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, wrote this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"The Russian occupiers continue to terrorize the civilian population of border towns in Kharkiv region. Last day, the enemy shelled Kupiansk, Vovchansk and Dvorichna. As a result of the shelling, residential buildings and commercial buildings were damaged. Fortunately, there were no victims," the report says.

The region’s governor added that the villages of Krasne, Strelecha, Zarichne, Kyslivka, Kotliarivka and other border settlements of the Kupiansk, Chuhuiv and Kharkiv districts also came under enemy fire.

As reported, the Armed Forces of Ukraine eliminated about 110,740 Russian troops in Ukraine from February 24, 2022 to January 7, 2023, including 490 over the past day alone.
