In intercepted call, Russian soldier says little to no chance of surviving Ukraine’s offensive in Kharkiv region

A Russian serviceman, deployed in Ukraine’s Kharkiv region as part of the invasion force, admits Ukraine’s success in the offensive effort, adding that the remaining Russian forces have little chance of surviving the surge.

That’s according to the intercepted audio of the soldier’s call to his father, Ukraine’s military intelligence reports, as per Ukrinform.

"We are losing, losing big time," the soldier is heard saying. The occupier goes on to complain that his unit has been surrounded and they have nowhere to run, while the Ukrainian troops keep advancing. The Russian adds that he has to even sleep in full gear in fear of constant shelling.

In another intercepted call, a Russian soldier is heard weeping over his helplessness amid the Ukrainian attack, the Security Service of Ukraine reported.
