Zelensky, Rutte discuss funding and further development of PURL program

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte discussed the funding and further development of the PURL program.

According to Ukrinform, Zelensky stated this on Facebook.

According to Zelensky, Ukraine highly appreciates the contribution of every state.

"We are counting on continued funding for this initiative, which enables us to purchase missiles for air defense systems," he noted.

Zelensky said he also discussed with Rutte cooperation with partners to strengthen Ukraine's ability to protect lives and the opening of joint defense enterprises in Europe.

"I thank Mark for the meeting and for his consistent support. I am also grateful for the highly productive meeting in the Ramstein format – partners confirmed the allocation of EUR 38 billion in military aid for Ukraine. And that is truly significant," Zelensky emphasized.

As reported by Ukrinform, Rutte believes that Ukraine will continue to receive military equipment through the PURL initiative and that sufficient funds will be raised for this purpose.
