Russian helicopter fires missiles at school in Sumy Region

An enemy helicopter has fired two missiles at Sumy Region’s Esman community from the territory of Russia, causing damage to a local school.

The relevant statement was made by the North Operational Command on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“At 01:07 p.m., June 4, 2022, the enemy opened fire on Sumy Region from the territory of Russia. The enemy helicopter fired two missiles at the Esman territorial community. The premises of the school were damaged,” the report states.

The personnel and equipment remained intact. According to the preliminary data, no casualties among civilians were reported.

A reminder that, in the morning of July 4, 2022, Sumy Region’s Shalyhyne community also came under enemy fire from the territory of Russia.
