Russia’s air strikes on Lysychansk have destroyed a police department building and caused damage to the area of Lysychansk Oil Refinery.

The relevant statement was made by Luhansk Regional Military Administration Head Serhii Haidai on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“One can hardly find a safe place in the city. People are dreaming of having at least 30 minutes of silence, but Russian occupiers do not stop, firing with all kinds of weapons. Yesterday, the enemy launched several air attacks on Lysychansk. Lots of destruction. The air strikes were launched on the oil refinery and near Vovchoiarivka. The police department building was destroyed completely,” Haidai wrote.

The amount of houses damaged is countless. A woman was found dead in a basement, as rescuers extinguished fire in one of such houses.

Russia’s sabotage groups are continuously making attempts to break into the city. Yesterday, one of such groups was neutralized near Verkhniokamianka.

According to Haidai, Russian troops continue to shell the area along the Siverskyi Donets. Both river banks are under enemy fire, from the Sievierodonetsk direction and from the Lysychansk direction.

In addition, Russian invaders continue attempts to block the city of Lysychansk and gain control over the Lysychansk-Bakhmut highway.

On June 29, 2022, the enemy shelled civil infrastructure in Lysychansk and Verkhniokamianka. In the morning of June 30, 2022, Russian troops were conducting the offensive on Verkhniokamianka and assault operations near Lysychansk Oil Refinery.
