Myrhorod airfield’s runway and infrastructure damaged in Russian missile strike

As a result of Russia’s missile strike on the city of Myrhorod, Poltava Region, the airfield’s runway and infrastructure have been damaged.

The relevant statement was made by Poltava Regional Military Administration Head Dmytro Lunin on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“The anti-aircraft defense units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have managed to destroy several enemy cruise missiles. However, as a result of the enemy missile strike, the airfield’s runway and infrastructure were damaged, and the fuel and oils warehouse caught fire,” Lunin noted.

In his words, personnel and rescuers, as well as the National Police of Ukraine, are now working at the scene to extinguish the fire and eliminate the effects of the missile strike. Casualties are yet to be reported.
