Russia deploys Wagner PMC to Ukraine due to heavy losses - British intel

Russian Private Military Company the Wagner Group has deployed to eastern Ukraine.

That’s according to UK’s Defense Intelligence.

“They are expected to deploy more than 1,000 mercenaries, including senior leaders of the organisation, to undertake combat operations,” the agency tweeted.

“Due to heavy losses and a largely stalled invasion, Russia has highly likely been forced to reprioritise Wagner personnel for Ukraine at the expense of operations in Africa and Syria,” the report elaborates.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, on March 26, advisor to the Ukrainian Defense Minister, Markian Lubkivskyi, referring to CNN, said PMC Wagner had been plotting the assassination of President Volodymyr Zelensky and Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
