President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Russia has already prepared for a new large-scale attack and urged Ukrainians to be especially attentive to air raid warnings tonight and in the coming days.

According to Ukrinform, Zelensky made the statement in his evening address.

"Please stay safe," he said.

The President emphasized that Russia had already launched new attacks on Ukraine earlier in the day. This time, the invaders used more than 200 Shahed-type kamikaze drones.

According to Zelensky, a significant number of the drones were shot down, but some strikes did get through. He also noted that Russian forces attacked Zaporizhzhia, causing fatalities. The President expressed condolences to the families and loved ones of those killed.

He recalled that strikes had also targeted the Donetsk, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Dnipropetrovsk regions, while a new air raid alert had been declared in Kyiv.

Zelensky stressed that Russia has not stopped the war, despite all proposals already being on the table, and that Russian leader Vladimir Putin "must make a choice in favor of diplomacy and a normal peace."

"Our proposal for a meeting – a proposal to Putin – for a direct and honest dialogue in a Ukraine–Russia format, with the support of partners – our proposal still stands. And it is important that the war ultimately ends with peace," the President said.

As Ukrinform reported, on the afternoon of June 20, the Russian army struck Zaporizhzhia with nine guided aerial bombs.

At present, five people are known to have been killed and ten injured.
