Russian army keeps assaulting Bakhmut direction
This is stated in the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 18:00, March 10, published on Facebook.
"During the day, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine launched five strikes on the enemy personnel and military equipment clusters and another one on the position of the enemy's anti-aircraft missile system," the report reads.
Ukrainian missile and artillery units struck three enemy troops’ buildup areas.
According to the General Staff data, the Russian troops launched 23 airstrikes and four missile strikes on Kostiantynivka and Slovyansk in Donetsk region during the day. Civilians were injured, civilian infrastructure and residential buildings were damaged.
In addition, the invaders launched 23 MLRS attacks.
It is reported that the Russian troops keep trying to reach the administrative border of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. The main efforts are focused on conducting offensive operations in Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, Marinka, and Shakhtarsk directions.
In Volyn, Polissia, Sivershchyna, and Slobozhanshchyna directions, the operational situation has not changed significantly. During the day, the enemy fired mortars and artillery at Yeline in Chernihiv region; Znob-Novhorodske, Seredyna-Buda, Atynske in Sumy region; Ambarne, Kamyanka, Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, and Zapadne in Kharkiv region.
In Lyman direction, the invaders are trying to break through the defense of the Ukrainian troops. Enemy artillery strikes were recorded, in particular, near Hrianykivka, Kyslivka, Krokhmalne, Berestove in Kharkiv region; Chervonopopivka and Bilohorivka in Luhansk region; Dibrova, Spirne, Rozdolivka, Yahidne in Donetsk region.
In Bakhmut direction, the Russian army does not stop its assaults. The Ukrainian defenders repelled numerous attacks near Ivanivske and Bakhmut. In particular, Vasiukivka, Zaliznianske, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Bohdanivka, Hryhorivka, Bila Hora, Druzhba, and Zalizne in Donetsk region came under enemy fire.
In Avdiivka, Marinka, and Shakhtarsk directions, Russian troops carried out unsuccessful offensive actions in the directions of Kamyanka, Avdiivka, Sieverne, Vodiane, Pervomayske, Nevelske, Krasnohorivka, Marinka, Novomykhailivka in Donetsk region.
The areas of Krasnohorivka, Kamyanka, Avdiivka, Vodiane, Marinka, Heorhiivka, Novomykhailivka, and Vuhledar suffered from enemy strikes. The Russians dropped K-51 non-lethal aerosol grenades on Sieverne, Vodiane, and Nevelske areas.
In Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, the invaders hold the defense. Malynivka, Huliaypole, Bilohirya, Mala Tokmachka, Huliaypilske, Kamyanske, and Zaporizke in Zaporizhzhia region; Havrylivka, Dudchany, Kherson, Beryslav, Vesele, Antonivka, Berehove, and Veletenske in Kherson region came under enemy attacks.
Meanwhile, according to the General Staff data, Russian troops continue to suffer losses. In the temporarily captured town of Berdiansk, Zaporizhzhia region, local healthcare facilities are overcrowded with wounded invaders.
