Zelensky appoints Sakhon as deputy commander of National Guard

President Volodymyr Zelensky has appointed Oleh Sakhon as deputy commander of the National Guard of Ukraine.

According to Ukrinform, corresponding decree No.143/2023 was published on the president’s website.

"To appoint Oleh Oleksandrovych Sakhon as deputy commander of the National Guard of Ukraine," the document says.

As reported, Major General Oleh Sakhon headed the Eastern Territorial Administration of the National Guard of Ukraine. He participated in the defense of Kharkiv against the Russian invaders in 2022.
