More than 1,000 people evacuated from temporarily occupied areas of Zaporozhzhia region in past day

Over the past day, August 20, 1,036 people, including 324 children, were evacuated from the territories of Zaporizhzhia region temporarily occupied by the Russian troops.

"Over the past day, 1,036 civilians, including 324 children, were evacuated from the temporarily occupied territory," the press service of Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration posted on Telegram.

As noted, the military situation in Zaporizhzhia region has not undergone significant changes over the past day. The enemy focuses its main efforts on holding the occupied frontiers. Over the past day, the enemy shelled the Ukrainian positions, using tank weapons, rocket and tube artillery along the entire line of contact.

According to Zaporizhzhia Region Department of the National Police, the occupiers shelled the civilian infrastructure near ​​Preobrazhenka and Orikhiv localities over the past day. The police received 16 reports on the destruction of civilian infrastructure objects in Russian attacks.
