Trump meets with Usyk at White House

On June 12, Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk met with U.S. President Donald Trump in the Oval Office of the White House.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported on the social media platform X by the Official White House Account—Special Assistant to the President and Communications Advisor Margo Martin.

“President Donald Trump in the Oval Office with the Heavyweight Champion of the World Oleksandr Usyk,” she captioned the photo.

Neither Usyk nor Trump’s team disclosed details of the meeting.

Later, Usyk posted on the social media platform X that he had visited the Pentagon for the first time that day.

“First time visiting the Pentagon. It’s hard to put the emotions into words, the scale is truly impressive!” he wrote.

As reported by Ukrinform, boxer Oleksandr Usyk made this year’s TIME magazine list of the most influential people in sports.
