Memorial motorcade takes place in Zaporizhzhia

A memorial motorcade took place in Zaporizhzhia. It was dedicated to the fallen defenders.

A Ukrinform correspondent reported this.

In Zaporizhzhia, several dozen cars bearing flags and posters displaying the names and call signs of the defenders who died in the war drove through the city’s central streets as part of the memorial motorcade.

“Usually, we organize drives in honor of prisoners of war and those missing in action, but today, we decided to honor the memory of all the fallen. We must remember them every day. There are those missing in action who, unfortunately, are already known to have died, but whose bodies cannot be recovered. All soldiers must return home, even on a shield,” says motorcade organizer Anastasiia Siruk.

She noted that in every city across the country, thousands of flags fly over graves in cemeteries—these are the people who gave their lives so that life in the cities could continue.

The convoy drove down the city’s central avenue and the Naberezhna Highway, escorted by law enforcement officers. Participants are calling on people to join such events, as it is important to remember the heroes every day.

Following the motorcade, the traditional rally “Don’t Be Silent, Captivity Kills” took place in Zaporizhzhia.

As reported by Ukrinform, in December 2025, nearly a hundred people gathered in downtown Zaporizhzhia for a rally in support of captured and missing-in-action service members.
