Since the start of the full-scale invasion, 453 tourism infrastructure facilities have been damaged by the Russian aggressor, including 140 hotels, 78 vacation resorts, sanatoriums, and camps.

This was reported by Maksym Tkachenko, a member of parliament and head of the Temporary Investigative Commission on the Investigation of Possible Violations of Ukrainian Law in the Fields of Culture, Cultural Heritage Protection, Tourism, Physical Culture, and Sports, in a Ukrinform blog post.

“As of the end of 2025, 453 damaged tourism infrastructure facilities have been recorded, including 140 hotels, 78 vacation resorts, sanatoriums, camps, and other facilities,” he reported.

Tkachenko noted that tourist facilities in the Donetsk, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Odesa, and Kherson regions were the most affected.

“At the same time, a full assessment of the damage has been conducted for only 33 facilities, and it already exceeds 1.5 billion hryvnias,” he emphasized.

The parliamentarian explained that this means the actual scale of losses is significantly greater and still needs to be documented for future restoration.

As reported by Ukrinform, Ukraine’s tourism industry faces systemic problems—ranging from a lack of digitalization to inefficient management—which are proposed to be addressed through a new law on market reform.
