Zelensky meets actor Sean Penn, thanks him for support since start of full-scale war

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with American actor and director Sean Penn.

The head of state announced this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

Zelensky posted a photo from the meeting and wrote: "Sean, thanks to you, we know what a true friend of Ukraine is. You have stood with Ukraine since the first day of the full-scale war. This is still true today. And we know that you will continue to stand with our country and our people."

The 98th Academy Awards ceremony took place in Los Angeles on March 15.

Penn received the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for his role in the film One Battle After Another. Media reports said the actor skipped the awards ceremony in order to visit Ukraine.
