Prisoner exchange: Lubinets announces return of another 300 Ukrainians
The Verkhovna Rada's Human Rights Commissioner, Dmytro Lubinets, said that another 300 Ukrainians are expected to be returned from Russian captivity as part of the exchange.
He said this on television, according to Ukrinform.
"A 500-for-500 exchange was publicly announced, and we are expecting 300 tomorrow. The final number will be known tomorrow. We hope that the Russian Federation will adhere to the agreements reached in Geneva," Lubinets said.
He noted the work of the Ukrainian negotiating team, President Volodymyr Zelensky, and the assistance of the United States in this matter.
“We are all worried, but we expect positive news,” the ombudsman added.
As reported by Ukrinform, on March 5, 200 Ukrainians returned from Russian captivity as part of an exchange.
