Ukraine to experience temperatures down to -30°C next week

On Monday, February 2, cold and dry weather will persist across Ukraine, with nighttime temperatures expected to range from -18°C to -30°C and daytime temperatures from -13°C to -18°C.

According to Ukrinform, the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center stated this on Facebook.

"Cold and dry weather with nighttime temperatures of -18°C to -23°C (in the northern regions and Kharkiv region -22°C to -27°C, locally down to -30°C), daytime -13°C to -18°C; in the south and southeast, nighttime -12°C to -17°C, daytime -6°C to -11°C; in Crimea and Zakarpattia, nighttime -3°C to -8°C, daytime 0°C to -5°C. Some roads will be icy. Wind from the north to northeast, 5–10 m/s," the report says.

In Kyiv and the Kyiv region, it will also be cold and dry, with some icy roads and northern winds at 5–10 m/s. "Temperatures across the region at night will be -22°C to -27°C, locally down to -30°C, daytime -13°C to -18°C; in Kyiv, at night -22°C to -24°C, daytime -14°C to -16°C," the report adds.
