As of now, there has been no official confirmation from the Polish side of possible traffic restrictions at the Dołhobyczów checkpoint on the Polish-Ukrainian border on January 23.

This was reported to Ukrinform by Svitlana Burda, spokesperson for the 7th Carpathian Border Guard Detachment.

"There are widespread reports in the media about a possible blockade of traffic by Polish farmers on January 23 near the Dołhobyczów checkpoint on the Polish-Ukrainian border. I would like to note that, as of now, there has been no official confirmation from the Polish side regarding possible traffic restrictions in the direction of the checkpoint. In addition, according to available information, permission to block traffic by participants in the action has not been received at this time," she said.

According to Burda, gatherings near the border in this area cannot be ruled out, but it is not certain that they will block traffic.

“Border guards of the 7th Carpathian Border Guard Detachment are in constant contact with their Polish colleagues and are closely monitoring the situation in order to promptly inform the public about any changes in cross-border traffic,” Burda added.
