The Russian army has destroyed hundreds of facilities belonging to Nova Poshta and killed more than 20 employees at their workplaces.

The Head of GR at Nova Global Denys Bazilevych stated this in a comment to Ukrinform.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, 249 Nova Poshta employees have been killed, including 22 civilians and 227 servicemembers (mobilized employees).

"The greatest loss is the lives of our colleagues," Bazilevych emphasized.

During the full-scale war, according to him, more than 400 terminals, depots, and branches of Nova Poshta were damaged or destroyed. All facilities are being restored. The cost of restoring Nova Poshta's logistics infrastructure has exceeded UAH 800 million. The company is very actively operating a network of mobile branches to ensure resilience and continuity of services for citizens, the company representative said.

In this context, he mentioned the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), which supports the launch of mobile branches and the construction of shelters, since safety, first of all for personnel, is the top priority. Security measures, including the construction of protective facilities and terminals built to high standards that did not exist before, help minimize losses.

Since the beginning of the full-scale aggression, 138,000 parcels have been destroyed, and total losses exceed UAH 3 billion. Bazilevych stressed that no external resources are used for compensation and insurance payouts (in amounts determined by the sender); everything is covered within the company's own resources. Only now is an international insurance mechanism being launched.

The GR Director also cited the following data: as of mid-December this year, the total number of Nova Poshta service points in Ukraine stood at 47,651, including 14,679 branches and 32,972 parcel lockers. Nova Poshta employs more than 30,000 people in Ukraine. In Europe, the company's network covers 16 countries and 87,663 service points, including 234 proprietary branches.

Bazilevych also said that the company is a participant in the Ukraine Facility program and receives concessional financing through the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), under terms currently available to Ukrainian businesses. Last year, this amounted to EUR 50 million, and negotiations are now underway for a new financing package for 2026, the GR Director informed. He emphasized that this is a very important contribution by the European community to supporting private Ukrainian enterprises that are part of critical infrastructure.

As reported earlier, this week it became known that due to the security situation related to the advance of the front line, Nova Poshta is closing its branch in Sviatohirsk in Donetsk region.
