Ambassador: 308 Ukrainians need to be evacuated from Gaza Strip, number keeps growing

The number of Ukrainians who need to be evacuated from the Gaza Strip has increased to 308 people. In the following days, it may rise to 400 people.

"Unfortunately, the situation with the Gaza Strip is getting even more complicated. The number of people on our evacuation list has already exceeded 300 – now it is 308, but it is constantly increasing. I think it may rise to 400 in the next day or two. I hope that the evacuation will still begin," Ambassador of Ukraine to Israel Yevhen Korniychuk said during the United News telethon.

He added that the first vehicles with humanitarian cargo had left through the Rafah crossing point to the Gaza Strip.

"I hope that Hamas will fulfill their promise and let the foreigners go," the Ambassador said.

He also said that a Ukrainian citizen had died in the Gaza Strip last night.

"Overnight, our activists confirmed the death of a Ukrainian citizen in the Gaza Strip. Her personal data were established," the diplomat specified.

As of yesterday, the number of Ukrainians in need of evacuation from the Gaza Strip was 298, including two injured.
