Vereshchuk says children remain in Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Krasnohorivka

There are children still living in the frontline settlements of Bakhmut, Avdiivka, Krasnohorivka, Keramik, New York, and Pivnichne  who need to be evacuated to safer regions.

Deputy Prime Minister - Minister for Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories Iryna Vereshchuk said this in an interview with Ukrinform.

"Since mandatory evacuation started, 271 children have been evacuated from the frontline settlements of Donetsk and Kharkiv regions. However, the work is ongoing. According to the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, children are living in the settlements of Bakhmut, Avdiivka, Krasnohorivka, Keramik, New York, and Pivnichne," Vereshchuk said.

According to her, in total, children were forcibly evacuated from 21 settlements of Volnovakha, Bakhmut and Pokrovsk districts of Donetsk region, as well as from settlements on the contact line in Kupiansk district of Kharkiv region. The mandatory evacuation of families with children is ongoing in seven settlements of Bakhmut, Kramatorsk and Pokrovsk districts of Donetsk region.

As reported, on March 7, the Cabinet of Ministers approved an initiative on the mandatory evacuation of children from war zones.
