Chernihiv receives award from PACE

Chernihiv received the Flag of Honor award from the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.

Acting Mayor of Chernihiv Oleksandr Lomako wrote this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

"Great news from Strasbourg! Our city has received a special Flag of Honor award! This is one of the highest honors of the Prize of Europe, established by PACE," Lomako said.

According to him, this is a recognition of the results and changes in the city, a recognition of Chernihiv's resilience in the fight for European values.

In total, there are four awards of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe: The European Diploma, the Flag of Honor, the Plaque of Honor, and the European Prize. The award received by Chernihiv is the second level in the PACE award system.

As reported, Kyiv became a finalist in the World Smart City Awards.
