Vinnytsia and the German city of Karlsruhe signed a twinning agreement.

Vinnytsia Mayor Serhiy Morhunov announced this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"Vinnytsia and Karlsruhe are now sister cities. The agreement has been signed! This opens up new opportunities for sharing experiences, joint projects and communication between residents," wrote Morhunov.

According to him, the cities will cooperate in the areas of spatial development and mobility, energy, IT and scientific activity, culture and tourism, and European integration. These are relevant directions for post-war recovery and innovative development. He also emphasized that Karlsruhe had supported Vinnytsia before. In particular, the tents for the "points of invincibility" and generators provided by the German partners helped the regional center go through the winter.

As reported, the Bosch company handed over an indicative air quality station to Vinnytsia for long-term use, which measures air pollution indicators with maximum accuracy.
