The Ukrainian community, together with friends of Ukraine from other countries, held a picket on Friday evening outside the Vienna Concert Hall (Konzerthaus), protesting against the gig by the Russian choir "Bolshoi Don Kozaken."

This was reported by Ukrinform's own correspondent in Austria.

"Bolshoi Don" belongs to Rostov, where missiles fly from, and we don't need cultural missiles before Christmas from the sick culture of a terrorist state that discriminates against us all and offers false narratives to our Austrian friends," said the picket organizers with the Mrija nonprofit.

The event was organized in order to show that "sick Russian culture has no place in European culture, the values of which are incompatible with those of people sick of imperialism."

The participants in the picket held banners saying "russland = terrorstaat" (Russia = terrorist state) and posters "Putin is a murderer," as well as waved Ukrainian flags.

As Ukrinform reported, earlier Ukrainians protested outside the Italian La Scala opera house, opposing the opening of the season with Russian opera as a manifestation of victory of Putin's propaganda.
