Kyiv subway resumes operation

The Kyiv subway resumed work on the morning of December 17.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko in a Telegram post said that the Kyiv subway resumed transport services at 07:30.

Trains run at weekends with an interval of 10 minutes.

Subway stations also operate as bomb shelters during air raid sirens.

As reported, on Friday, December 16, Russia launched a new massive attack on Ukraine. According to the data provided by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Valeriy Zaluzhnyi, from the areas of the Caspian Sea and the Black Sea, the enemy fired 76 missiles, including 72 cruise missiles (Kh-101, Kalibr, Kh-22) and 4 guided air-to-surface missiles (Kh-59/Kh-31P) at Ukraine’s critical infrastructure. Air defense forces shot down 60 Russian missiles.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko confirmed explosions in the Desnianskyi, Dniprovskyi and Holosiivskyi districts of the capital.
