Almost 48,000 citizens return to Ukraine in past 24 hrs - Border Guards

Over the past day, more than 51,000 persons have arrived in Ukraine, of which almost 48,000 were Ukrainian nationals.

That’s according to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, Ukrinform reports.

"Over 89,000 people and almost 18,000 vehicles crossed Ukraine's western borders with the EU and Moldova on August 29. Some 38,000 people left Ukraine last day. More than 23,000 of them crossed out to Poland, while the rest – to other EU countries and Moldova," the statement reads.

Also, 48 trucks carrying humanitarian aid crossed in.

As reported, since the full-scale Russian invasion, according to the UN Refugee Agency, over 10 million people crossed out of Ukraine. Almost 4 million Ukrainians filed for temporary residence in neighboring countries, mostly in Poland, where over 1.2 million Ukrainians chose to settle.
