Kyiv city reports 447 new COVID-19 cases

Kyiv city has confirmed 447 new coronavirus cases in the past day, bringing the total number to 21,492, according to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko.

“The number of patients with coronavirus in Kyiv continues to grow. Over the past day, the coronavirus disease has been confirmed in 447 people. Eight patients have died. In total, COVID-19 has claimed the lives of 350 Kyiv residents,” Klitschko wrote on Telegram.

According to the mayor, among people who contracted COVID-19 in Kyiv in the past day were 230 women aged 18-89 years; 21 girls aged 1-16 years; 175 men aged 19-96 years; and 21 boys aged aged 4-16 years. In addition, 14 healthcare workers tested positive for COVID-19.

Since the start of the pandemic, 6,387 Kyiv residents have recovered from the coronavirus, including 132 people over the past day.

As of September 26, Ukraine registered 3,833 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 195,504.
