Kyiv city reports 285 new coronavirus cases

Kyiv city has confirmed 285 new coronavirus cases in the past day, bringing the total to 17,714, according to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko.

“The number of coronavirus patients in the city of Kyiv continues to grow. Over the past day, the virus was confirmed in 285 people. Since the start of the pandemic, the capital has recorded the highest daily number of deaths – 11 patients have died. Overall, 283 Kyiv residents have died from the coronavirus,” he wrote on his Facebook page

According to the mayor, among people who have contracted COVID-19 in Kyiv in the past day are 171 women aged 19-90 years; 4 girls aged 6-17 years; 106 men aged 22-83 years; and 4 boys aged 1-15 years old. In addition, 17 healthcare workers have tested positive for COVID-19.

At the same time, 59 people have recovered over the course of the past day. In total, 5,385 Kyiv residents have overcome the disease.

As of September 15, Ukraine reported 159,702 laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases, including 2,905 new cases recorded over the past day.
